本名為Wesley Pentz的Diplo，無疑是近年來跳舞圈中最炙手可熱的製作人之一，不但曾在葛萊美獎中被提名，製作 M.I.A.前兩張專輯中大部分的編曲和其熱門歌曲《Paper Planes》（Billboard 排行榜第三名），更曾與各音樂類型藝人合作，包含 Snoop Dogg, Missy Elliot, Lil' Jon, Santogold等人，另外還曾做過 Radiohead、Justice、Daft Punk、Beck與 Britney Spears等人的混音版本。
Diplo近年到巴西貧民窟去鑽研當地的 Baile-Funk，此外他還喜愛接觸各種地下或地方性的 Party Music 類型，包含 Dirty South、Miami Bass、Jamaican Dancehall、Cumbia、Baltimore Club等等。而過去曾簽在英國指標廠牌Nija Tune的他也成立了自己的品牌Mad Decent，風格囊括Bmore、Baile-Funk、Electro、Fidget-House而成為近年來最具人氣的獨立跳舞廠牌之一，而該廠牌本年度的最強出品便是Diplo與Switch兩大製作人共組的Major Lazer所發表的首張專輯「Guns Don't Kill People... Lazers Do」。
除了是超強的製作人之外，Diplo更是一位出色的Club DJ。先前他曾獲權威音樂雜誌SPIN選為「年度最佳DJ」(Best DJ Of The Year)，也受邀為Fabriclive系列錄製DJ-Mix專輯，2009年在日本富士音樂祭(Fujirock) 中的表演被 Fujirock 工作人員認為是 Fujirock 曾體驗過最精彩的表演之一，更不要忘記前不久Diplo 也與Dim Mak主腦Steve Aoki巡迴全球表演引爆強大話題。

DJ Diplo, who in real life goes by Wesley Pentz, is a DJ who lives in the global underground and works at the top of the industry. He's Grammy nominated, has dropped beats for Snoop Dogg, produced most of M.I.A.'s first and second albums as well as her hit single "Paper Planes" ( Billboard Hot 100 Number 3), has worked with Santogold, Lil' Jon, Missy Elliot and has remixed Radiohead, Beck and even Britney Spears. His set at Fujirock 2009 was considered by festival staff as one of the best DJ sets ever at the festival.
At the same time, Diplo is also known for dipping into the underground. He's gone into the heart of Brazilian slums to bring back baile funk to the rest of the world. He's got a penchant for down-'n-dirty genres like Dirty South hip hop, Miami bass, Jamaican dancehall, cumbia and Baltimore house, and you can hear the results of some of this sonic traveling on his recent project and record release as Major Lazer (Gun Don't Kill People...Lazers Do). His own label Mad Decent releases music by the likes of Deathface, and last year he toured all over the world with Steve Aoki. To do it right for Diplo, we are taking over Luxy's entire Galleria and amping up the party factor. The booty will be flying no doubt! So bring your safety glasses ~ there's going to be a lot of daggering!
